-So this is the other lovely request from my dear horchatita.  Again for you smythofsky lovers, you have to check out her work, it is simply wonderful.  As you can probably guess this is another smythofsky, so enjoy some dudes..being dudes :P

Dave stood in front of the mirror as he adjusted his cuff links.  He straightened himself up, smiling at his reflection.  He turned and laughed at his boyfriend who was nervously trying to tie his tie.  Dave gently tugged him over to the mirror and began working on it.  ”Anxious much?” he chuckled as he finished.  ”No, its just been a long time since I’ve worn one and tonight’s a big night I need to look good.”  He blushed as he caught Dave smirking at him.  ”What?!”  Dave simply shook his head.  ”You’re guna be fine just breathe a little.  I’ve taught you everything you need to know about sports for tonights deal so stop acting like a teenage girl.”  When Sebastian only proceeded to gape at him, Dave turned and smacked his ass before heading out the door.  ”Hurry up Smythe” he called cheerfully behind him to his blushing boyfriend.

The two men soon found themselves sitting at a table with an up and coming baseball star and his manager.  ”So your saying that the Red Sox would be the best team for Michael because they’re looking for a fresh line of new players?”  Sebastian smiled charmingly at the man.  ”Not only are the Red Sox looking for new players, but a new pitcher.  Michael is the only pitcher they’ve taken an interest in.  If he joined the team he’d be the star pitcher instantly, which of course includes being trained by our senior pitchers and plenty of time on the mound come game day.”  The manager chewed on his lip thoughtfully.  Dave squeezed Sebastian’s hand as the other man looked at him nervously.  He leaned forward to speak to the player.  ”Just think about it Mike, opening day at Fenway Park.  You’re lined up with the rest of your team, the lights in the stadium go up, they start announcing names and then all of the sudden they’re calling your name, your number.  You run out onto the field in your fresh new jersey, cleats, glove the works.  You raise your gloved hand up to the crowd as you jog out the pitcher’s mound and they go wild screaming your name.  These people watching you are all ages.  These are the kids that are collecting your card, the adults that are excited to see you bring the team a winning season, the girls that want to meet you and dream about dating you.  All of these people are wearing your shirt and cheering for you to do good at thing you love to do most in the world.  And plus, Boston fans are the most intense fans i’ve ever seen.”  He leaned back in his chair as Michael and his manager processed Dave’s spiel.  Sebastian grinned and lightly punched him in the arm.  ”Dam Karofsky” he murmured softly.  Michael’s manager stood up.  ”Is it alright if we talk about this for a second?”  The two businessmen nodded as Michael and his manager walked out to the lobby.  Sebastian let his head fall onto Dave’s shoulder, letting out a sigh.  ”Do you think you were good enough?”  Dave turned and lightly cupped his boyfriend’s face.  ”WE did fine babe.  If they don’t take us up on the offer then its their loss.”  He pressed a soft kiss to the other’s boy’s lips.  When he pulled away Sebastian leaned up to nuzzle his cheek.

“Um sorry are we interrupting?”  The two men quickly broke away blushing.  Dave shook his head.  ”N-no I am so sorry w-” the manager held his hand up.  He grinned at them.  ”Sorry I didn’t realize you guys were those kind of partners” he chuckled softly.  ”You guys..well don’t get too offended, but you aren’t really the stereotypical gay guys are you?”  Sebastian chuckled softly as Dave smiled.  ”Not really, we’re just a couple of dudes that happen to be in love.”  Michael smiled at them.  ”You guys are a pretty cool couple.”  He extended his hand to Dave.  ”I speak for my manager and I when I say that I would love to be a part of the Red Sox.”  Dave and Sebastian stood up and shook Michael and his manager’s hands.  They finished dinner and talking about how the deal would work before the group split.  

Later that night Dave, now clad in sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt, was relaxing on the couch watching some late night talk show.  Sebastian appeared in the doorway holding two mugs of hot cocoa.  ”Okay bear cub move over I want snuggles before bed.”  Dave smirked at him, accepting his mug and placing it on their coffee table.  Sebastian did the same with his before curling up in Dave’s arms.  The bigger man looked down at him.  ”Ya know Michael thought we were cool because we weren’t all sassy gay.”  Sebastian looked up at him and raised an eyebrow.  ”Oh darling,” he drawled out, “I reserve the right to be sassy when we are in the comfort of our own home.  I suggest you deal with it before I kick your sweet ass to the curb.”  Dave laughed.  ”Yeah right, you could never kick me out.”  Sebastian looked at him.  ”Oh really why not?”  Dave smirked before pinning Sebastian down to the couch.  He bent down to whisper in the other man’s ear.  ”Because darling, who else would be able to provide you with mind blowing sex?”
